We continued practicing the vocabulary for the weather as well as we assigned movements to every type of wether to help us remember it easier.

This week we started Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is annually celebrated from September 15 to October 15 in the United States for recognizing the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements for the United States.

We also continued learning about the Alphabet and Vowels.

We did a worksheet where students had to identify the Vowels from the whole alphabet.

Septiembre 20 y 22

This week we started learning the alphabet and the vowels.

This week we continued learning about the colors.

We also worked on creating some patters with colors using colored chips.

This week we colored some crayons of each color and practiced tracing all the names of all the colors.

We also read a simple color book and then I ask them questions about what color were certain objects.

We also  looked inside the classroom for items of each color.

We colored a flower with each petal of a single color

I also used some colored cards where I asked them to show me a specific color and they did using the cards.

Agosto 23 y 25

This week we reviewed some greetings like "Hola, como estas?, "Muy bien gracias y tu?

Buenos Dias, Buenas Tardes, Buenas Noches, Como te llamas? Etc

We reviewed some Cognate words that are similar in Spanish and English

We dance to Go Noodle Songs in Spanish.

I also Introduced the words for Materials most used during Spanish Class as well as some common used actions in the classroom.

Students followed instructions to get materials and take actions in Spanis Class.

Agosto 18

We started the school year by intoducing ourselves by saying "Hola, Me llamo…"

I introduced the song we will be listening at the begining of each class, "Buenas Tardes"

I introduced my self and talked about some general information about me.

We talked about the importance of being respectful in Spanish class with their classmates and teacher, that we are all learning a new language and we might all pronounce words differently and that is totally ok.
